Korlai Fort Cycling Trip - 19th to 21st Sept 2009

Dates - 19th to 21st September
Starting Point - Top Wakad-Hinjewadi Flyover (Pune)
Starting Time - 7.30 AM

Route -
Day 1 - Chandni Chowk -> Pirangut -> Paud -> Mulsi -> Tamhini -> Vile -> Kolad -> Roha
Distance - 115 km

Day 2 - Roha -> Korlai -> Roha -> Kolad -> Vile
Distance -105 km

Day 3 - Vile -> Tamhini -> Mulsi -> Paud -> Pirangut -> Chandni Chowk
Distance - 80 km

Accomodation - Lodges in Roha & Vile

Things to Carry -
1. Extra cloths (Remember it will rain)
2. One Extra Tube and a pair of extra Brake Shoes (This is mandatory)
3. Head light for the bike
4. Glucose, Electrol, Speed etc.
5. Helmet (This is mandatory)

Bike Requirement -
Minimum : Aluminium Frame Bike with atleast 6 gears with good brakes.
Recommended : Aluminium Frame Bike with atleast 12 gears with front suspension and brakes.
PS - We have a 9 km long ghat with a alititude rise of 500 meters. Average Gradient: 5.5%
Caution for Road Bikers interested to join - The whole route has roads good enough for road bike but some patches might be under construction with chips laid on. And potholes will always be there.
